Lifetime Guarantee – Terms & Conditions

The Lifetime Guarantee applies only to the following products

Manual pole operation Conservatory Roof Pleated blinds.
Electric remote control Conservatory Roof Pleated blinds but excluding motors & controls
Manual cord operation Conservatory Roof Roller blinds.
Electric remote control Conservatory Roof Roller blinds but excluding motors & controls
Manual pole operation Conservatory Roof Pinoleum blinds.
Electric remote control Conservatory Roof Pinoleum blinds but excluding motors & controls

The Lifetime Guarantee is subject to the following terms & conditions

The blinds must have been supplied and installed by an authorised representative trading as Marla Custom Blinds
The blinds must have been subject to a valet service carried out by Marla Custom Blinds at a maximum of 12 monthly intervals from the date of installation
The faulty product must be returned to the original manufacturer premises or other premises as nominated by the authorised representative trading as Marla Custom Blinds for repair or replacement.
The use of the products is limited to normal domestic use only.
All products must be used in the manner for which they were intended and the guarantee does not cover products that have been misused or abused in any way.
The guarantee applies to the UK only

The Lifetime Guarantee does not cover the following conditions:

Installation
Fair wear and tear.
Improper care, inappropriate cleaning, mould & mildew, alteration, relocation, misuse or accidental damage to the product.
Any repair work by unauthorised third parties on Marla Custom Blinds products voids any warranties.
Force majeure, such as floods, fire and earthquakes.

Definition of Lifetime Guarantee – Lifetime guarantee refers to the life expectancy of the product and means that the product is guaranteed for the length of time the product can reasonably be expected to last under normal usage. We consider this length of time to be a maximum of 15 years based on the blinds having been maintained annually with the Marla Custom Blinds valet service.

The guarantee is suplied by the authorised representative trading as Marla Custom Blinds. Proof of purchase (original Invoice) showing the authorised representative trading as Marla Custom Blinds and the date of purchase must be retained by the customer as the guarantee is only available to the original purchasing customer. The benefit of the guarantee cannot be transferred to a third party.

In addition to the proof of purchase, proof of the valet service (valet inspection record or Invoice) being carried out at no more than 12 monthly intervals from the date of installation must be provided in the event of a claim.

If the product is defective in materials or manufacture the original customer must contact Marla Custom Blinds within 30 days of the fault occurring. We reserve the right to inspect the fault before removal or repair. We must be provided with those facilities we reasonably require to carry out a proper inspection. If a replacement product or repair is necessary, we reserve the right to replace the product or carry out the repair using our own service engineers.

If the fault is not resolved, at our discretion we will either refund the purchase price, or supply new goods to you as a replacement. This shall constitute our sole obligation under this guarantee.

As our policy is one of continuous improvement, product changes may give rise to alternative products. Where an identical product is no longer available, we will supply the nearest equivalent

If a claim is made under the guarantee and the defect is not due to faulty materials or manufacture, Marla Custom Blinds reserve the right to charge the customer for time spent by the engineer at the current hourly rate and for any replacement parts

The guarantee is in addition to and does not affect your statutory rights

We needed some new conservatory aluminium Venetian blinds and Danny offered a an extremely competitive price for some Perfect Fit blinds together with a huge range of colour options. Having placed the order, the blinds arrived within two weeks and ahead of schedule and Danny fitted the blinds with great care and attention to detail. We needed 3 blinds for a bay window and Danny advised on what was suitable, taking into consideration the light, type of fabric and type of blind. Measurements were taken and he ordered  the blinds from the manufacturer. They were ready for installation about 3 weeks later. Danny took a couple of hours to complete the job. His work was meticulous and we were very happy with the end result. I tried to find fault with the work but couldn’t !
