Devon County Show 2012

Who let the dogs out?

Marla Conservatory Blinds at the New Forest ShowOver 300 people entered the two Marla Custom Blinds competitions at the recent Devon County Show.
Having recently introduced a new advertising campaign featuring two sunglass-wearing bulldog puppies, the conservatory blinds company invited show visitors to come up with two suggested names in return for a short break for two.
To the delight of company founder Martin Froud (who had attracted much amusement whilst wearing his show T-shirt of the two puppies) lucky winner Alice Reed came up with the most appropriate names of Sunny and Shine.
In a second competition – which asked the number of M’s on the stand – T Cosgrove guessed correctly at 75 and won a hamper full of local Devon produce.
Local branch owner Steve Hartland was absolutely delighted with the result of his first attendance at the event and show related orders totalled over £5,000 within 2 weeks of the show. Said Steve “It was hard work, but we all had fun and it was a great opportunity to tell local people about our great range of blinds. Once again, the support from Martin, Angela and all at Marla Custom Blinds head office has been brilliant and we’ll definitely be back again next year – who knows Sunny and Shine might even make a guest appearance!”
