Another New Marla Franchisee Hits the Ground Running

Hot on the heels of Mark Berry’s success in Durham and Sunderland, another Marla franchisee has landed a significant order within weeks of completing their training.

Joseph Anyaike, our Franchisee in Cardiff-South Wales, only started trading a few weeks ago but has already secured an order for wooden plantation window shutters worth almost £3000.

Joseph’s first customer was a homeowner from Cardiff’s Heath district who wanted six wooden window shutters to enhance his property.

Due to COVID 19 restrictions, the initial conversation was conducted by phone. This enabled Joseph to identify the customer’s specific needs, desires, and scale of the project. As it turned out, the client wanted plantation shutters for two large bay windows, three square bedroom windows and a square Kitchen window.

The total order came to just under £3,000. An impressive first order!

Joseph followed up their discussion with an email the same day containing links to the relevant products.
To Joseph’s delight, the customer responded by return, including the required dimensions. These enabled him to prepare and send an initial quotation, which was accepted!

A site survey was then scheduled, allowing Joseph to verify the measurements, identify any potential installation issues, and answer any outstanding customer questions.

“This was one of the best customer visits so far; it definitely helped that they had already made up their mind on what they wanted. So, it was pretty straight forward to meet them. They were relaxed when going through the different options.”

Finally, after confirming the specifications with Marla’s in-house manufacturing team, the order was placed, allowing the team to programme-in the bespoke wooden shutters’ construction. The fitting has been scheduled for mid-April.
