Marla Custom Blinds stays ahead of the game with a trip to STUTTGART

Marla Custom Blinds are attending the world’s leading trade fair for roller shutters, doors, gates and sun protection systems which takes place every three years in Germany.  R+T Stuttgart, which runs from 24th to 28th February, includes exhibits from all the major international companies in the sector and also highlights the latest innovations.

Marla’s Head of Franchising, Martin Froud will attend the trade fair with head of Sales, Danny Froud.  He comments: “Staying up-to-date with market trends has kept us at the leading edge of the industry in the UK, which enables us to support our network of franchisees by developing new products and techniques.  We’re excited to attend R+T Stuttgart to see the latest innovations and what the leading manufacturers are bringing to market.”

Celebrating its 50th anniversary, R+T takes place at Messe Stuttgart and will attract over 800 exhibitors and 60,000 attendees from 125 countries.  The exhibition is traditionally a showcase for innovations and new products, and many of the major companies in the industry develop their products in a three-year cycle in line with R+T.

There is a wide programme of events planned to accompany the trade fair with over a dozen special shows, congresses and forums.  It is expected that energy efficiency and building safety will be among the key topics being highlighted and discussed.  The event will enable Marla staff to learn about new trends, the latest product developments, manufacturing innovations and new maintenance techniques.

The exhibition also includes the R+T Innovation Prize, which celebrates innovative and pioneering products in nine categories.  As well as various product groups, including roller shutters, awnings and  Roman blinds, the Awards also focus on technical innovations for drives and control systems, as well as special prizes awarded for design, energy efficiency, craftsmanship and talented young craftsmen.

Martin continues: “By attending this international platform for innovative designs and world class products we will be able to see first-hand what the future holds for our industry.  We also look forward to discussing ideas with the exhibitors as well as hearing thoughts and opinions from leading global players in the construction, architectural and interior design sectors.   This knowledge helps us to develop the business and provide greater support to our franchisees and customers.”
