Marla Custom Blinds (South Wales) franchisee, Joseph Anyaike, was recently selected to manufacture and install 45 blackout roller blinds for Cardiff Council’s innovative new housing development in Crofts Street, Plasnewydd.
Helping Becky become more independent
Steve Hartland of Marla Custom Blinds (Sidmouth) has contributed towards making life a bit easier for Becky, a lady who is confined to a wheelchair and who has had her house adapted to allow her to be more independent in her home.
Steve has installed 3 electrically operated vertical blinds in an angled bay which are controlled as a group from a single channel remote, an electric roller blind in a spare bedroom controlled from a single channel remote, an electric roller blind in the hallway controlled by a single channel remote and 3 electric roller blinds in the main bedroom, 1 blind at the window and 2 blinds on the front of a purpose built low level wardrobe.
The 3 blinds in the main bedroom are controlled by a multi-channel remote, one channel to control the window blind and another channel to control the 2 wardrobe blinds.
To further improve life for Becky, the control of the blinds is to be integrated into the home automation system meaning it will be possible to operate the blinds using Becky’s iPhone.
